Sensitivity: A Super Sensor's Strength
Sensitivity is not weakness
If you are a sensitive person, probably people always tell you to “toughen up,” but there is actually nothing wrong with you. You are just a Super Sensor.
Neuroscience shows that your brain is biologically different from the other 80% of the population, and this is is a special characteristic.
In fact, scientists found that this sensitive trait is a natural survival strategy found in over 100 animal species, from birds to primates. It is literally written in your DNA.
While most people see the world in normal quality, you record everything in brilliant 8K resolution because your mind has no filter. This means you notice beautiful details others miss, feel deep empathy for people, and make wiser decisions.
Evolution kept this trait alive because the world desperately needs you. Previously, while the non-sensitive majority were warriors, sensitive people were the wise advisors who could sense danger or bad weather first.
Most people are like dandelions that can grow anywhere, but you are a rare orchid. In a loud, stressful place you wilt, but in a quiet, safe place you bloom with a unique beauty that no one else can match.
As a sensitive person, I know that it’s tiring. The great amount of emotions and information you feel is hard to handle, so we must calm, protect, and comfort ourselves when others see us as weak, we desperately need to be emotionally intelligent so that we can manage our feelings.
Stop trying to get thicker skin. When you protect your peace and honor your quiet time, you bloom. Be proud of your superpower—you are exactly what this world needs.
